His Story

Created in 1912 and designed by Joseph Guédon, the Monotype d’Arcachon has trained hundreds of helmsmen. Very fast, this elegant catboat is rigged with a sliding-gunter sail. A real sail and oar boat (four are possible), it can also be fitted with a small outboard motor on its stern transom. Its light weight makes it easy to transport between sailing venues. Our workshop can customise your Monotype.
